long run experiment number five was fairly uneventful.
unless you count the howling winds
and the crazy cold.
and the incident.
a minor, yet perplexing snot incident.
i usually blow on the fly.
and this goes off without a hitch.
the snot - goes out, down and back.
never to be seen or heard from again.
until today.
i blow.
and then - wtf?!
the snot
landed
in.
my.
eye.
and so i spent the next mile or so trying to figure out the physics of that.
defying all laws of gravity,
it went out and up and to the left
up and to the left.
that was some magic snot.

HAHAHA! Thank you for that humor. I totally needed a laugh today. I can just see the look on your face when that happened. It's funny how events like that can occupy our minds for a long time on long runs.
I learned a long time ago that doesn't work for me. It always ends up on me somewhere so I just blow into my gloves now. Better your snot than someone elses!
the crazy wind had to be a factor in the mis-fired snot rocket. LOL!!!
Heh! Sounds like several of my attempts to spit when it's windy. Instead of a couple of feet away from me, the spit ends up plastered all over my cheek.
We runners are such a graceful bunch.
Eew.
LOL.
brings a whole new meaning to "you'll shoot your eye out."
LOL - thanks for the laugh this morning! Sorry to hear about the misguided snot rocket :)
lmaoooooooooooooooo
Dam ur snot has some skills :-)
Mine just actually drip & wipe...too scared to try and blow it out and half is hanging out my nose--lol
I am heading up North this week for the Holidays and YES going to run some trails so I can practice my snot release... and maybe catch my eye if I get really, really good-haha
Merry X-Mas!!
ewwwww...ok fine so I've been here too, but still ewww.
Hahah, nice!
I'm noticing an increase in the nose blowing mid run during the past few months and I'm not the most graceful at it. Somehow most of it ends up on my top...
Haha, do they make running goggles for that sort of thing?
Glad to hear you are doing so well! YAY!
do you make sure to plug your other nostril when blowing it out?? that might help.
