registered!

it's official. i just registered for the marathon. i remember this moment last year: the anxiety upon clicking that final button was so palpable i needed a paper bag to breathe into.

and so, i just repeated the whole process again -
and like the wednesday nights when i get a little OCD about checking my alarm
so i don't miss my big dog pickup:
on.off.on.off.4:10.4:10.4:10 was that am or pm? am.am.am.on.on.on --

i did the same with my registration ... ok, all set.
wait -this is the COLUMBUS marathon site, yes? ok yes.
c-o-l-o-m-b-u-s. ok. good. check again. c-o-l-u-m-b-u-s.
and the marathon circle is checked? not the half.
marathon. marathon. m-a-r-a-t-h-o-n.
not the half. marathonmarathonmarathon.
ok! go! click that button!

50 days left. i didn't need a paper bag. not yet anyway.

I can so relate to your post. Just this week I had one more event to register for for October. Should I mail it? Should I wait? What if I miss getting into the event? The whole heat/fainting thing has really freaked me out. Talk about ODC!! I am over the top with it right now!

Enjoy the rest of your rest day.

Imagine how we felt when we had to send a $600 deposit to the tour company for Medoc!!

I'm already sending good vibes your way.

Congrats, Suzanne! The journey of 26.2 miles begins with the click of the mouse. ;-)

Zanne,

You picked a great marathon. I ran this marathon on no sleep. Its flat and the temperature should just right.

Is this your first. I am running my 7th with a 6 year hiatus. I felt the same way on Mother's Day when I signed up for the Marine Corps.

congrats on signing up. I was suppose to run Columbus a few years back but unfortunately ended up with a stress fracture in my foot 5 weeks out. i still went with my friend to watch and cheer her on. Organization at Expo was good and temps were great. Good luck!! I thought/am thinking about running the half this year. not decided!
